Towards the end of 2013 Woodland Centre was commissioned to create some sculptures for a new sensory garden in Egerton Park, a public park in Bexhill-on-Sea.
This project is an example of some of the larger commissions that we undertake. We were involved from the very beginning with public research and educational workshops and from the feedback we were able to create four detailed designs to take forwards to production.
The sculptures were a complete success and we feel very privileged to have worked with the public, schools and the team at Rother District Council. As part of our new website we have a page where you can view and download detailed case studies.
These case studies will take prospective clients through all the stages of our work and provide evidence of the processes we have developed in dealing with large projects. Please have a look at our first case study on Egerton Park.
It’s been an absolute pleasure working with you all on this project, a truly successful commission through all stages of design, creation and installation. I was particularly impressed with the facilitation of your interactive and educational workshops, working with our schools during the design stage – as were the pupils and Teachers!
The results are stunning; they are highly aesthetic sensory sculptures creating a beautiful trail, reflective of our parks flora, fauna and history. From your portfolio we always knew we’d have something spectacular for our park, we are delighted with the results and we look forward to working with you again in the future!
